The Rocky Mountain Open 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest and most exciting year yet for Star Wars Legion—and we’re thrilled to finally share a bunch of new details.
A New Home for the RMO
This year, we’ve upgraded to a brand-new venue in the Marriott Denver Tech Center, giving us more space, a more comfortable venue, a hotel block, and an overall improved experience. We’re also in the heart of Denver with better food and hotel options this time around.
The event also shifted to May 2nd-3rd 2026 for less overlap with Star Wars Legion World’s at Adepticon
Official Grand Tournament Status
We’re also proud to announce that this year, RMO is an Atomic Mass Games Grand Tournament!
That means players can look forward to official prize support from Atomic Mass Games, alongside everything our incredible sponsors are contributing. Every player who attends will leave with official promo cards and dice, so don’t miss out! This recognition puts the Rocky Mountain Open among the premier Legion events in the country—and we couldn’t have done it without the community.
In addition to being an Grand Tournament, RMO 2026 is once again an LVOIS Qualifier - meaning the winner will get an invitation to the LVO Invitational Tournament and the top 8 players will receive LVOI qualifier points.

Painting Awards
The painting contest at RMO will be held Saturday over lunch, where every participant is encouraged to enter their army. Our painting contest is officially sponsored by Artis Opus and we’ll be honoring the following categories:

Sportsmanship Award
Winning a game is temporary, but making a new friend who plays legion can last a lifetime. Our players being kind, approachable, and friendly is a key part of why the community is so great. Sportsmanship is a crucial part of this, and to honor that, we’re giving out a trophy to whoever the TO - and our players - deem is the best sport and the best opponent to play against. Even if your dice betray you, be a gracious player and you could still leave the event a winner!!
Raffle and Door Prizes!
We love to reward the community for being awesome - and we wouldn’t be where we are without every one of YOU showing up and making the event a success. Because of this - we give away the bulk of our prizes as raffle and door prizes for just showing up, being a good sport, and enjoying legion!
Everyone who participates will receive custom acrylic intel and binocular asset tokens to use on objectives like Intercept Signals and Surface Scan.

Legion Bingo!
A fan favorite from last year returns - legion bingo! All players will receive a bingo card at registration, where each square contains a possible in game occurrence (e.g. rally off 4+ suppression in a single rally roll). When you (or sometimes your opponent!) complete what’s described in the square, your opponent will initial it to signify it as marked! Players who complete a line on their bingo card and bring it to the TO table will receive a prize!

Final Notes for Our Players
Lists are due Monday April 27th by 11:59PM, make sure to submit them via Longshanks by then (and don’t forget to include your command cards and battlecards!) Uploading your list in JSON format (Look at the export options at the bottom of TableTopAdmiral and LegionHQ) is strongly preferred
April 27th will also be the cutoff date for any new releases and for current rules! We are expecting an errata and points update around April 21st, and if that drops when expected - IT WILL BE LIVE FOR THE EVENT. Make sure to factor this in and don’t submit your list until April 22nd so you know it’s legal!! I know this will be tricky for planning purposes, but it also means the event will be an epic testing ground to see how the changes shakeup lists and the meta! This is the perfect chance to test out all of your new strategies and armies!!!
