Mastering the Odds with ‘Legion Dice’ on iOS

How many wounds do I expect my hero to take if I move them up and they takes a shot from that unit? If I use fire support, will I finish off this enemy? How much damage should I expect to do to those dark troopers if I attack them with this unit? How big of a difference will it make if I have an aim or not here? These are the kind of questions every legion player has asked themselves at some point during a game. Knowing the expected value for your dice rolls can be tricky, but incredibly helpful for determining your best move. For simple rolls, sometimes players can estimate values in their heads, but things can escalate in complexity quickly when multiple keywords and interactions are involved. In these circumstances, using tools to simulate the expected value can be a lifesaver. While a few tools already exist in the legion sphere, some of the require the use of spreadsheets or websites that may not be handy for you to reference.

Today, that changes with the launch of ‘Legion Dice’ on iOS! Made by our very own Jason Baird (@JasonIsConfused), this free app is streamlined and gets right to the point - what are the expected values for any given attack and defensive situation. It also offers the advantages of being speedy as a native app and it doesn’t require an internet connection to use.
